    ICREA   The International Consortium of Real Estate Associations (ICREA) is a global alliance whose members are leading national real estate organizations in the worlds major markets. ICREA provides significant benefits to members of these national organizations who are engaged in the global marketplace--primarily by assisting them in efficiently and profitably facilitating transnational business.  
    H.A.R.   The Hellenic Association of Realtors ( H.A.R. ) was formed in January of 1999 by a group of leading Greek real estate agencies. Its central quarters are based in Athens but has equally active, each within its own region, sub-quarters. Its sub-quarters are spread around the country and located in high population areas such as Thessaloniki, Patras, Heraklio, Larisa, Lamia and on most of the larger islands.  
    CAR   The historic fire in Chicago created as many opportunities as miseries. Against this backdrop of business needing to succeed, and stories of Horatio Alger rags to riches, individuals from the new real estate community met on January 11, 1883, to form the Chicago Real Estate Board (CREB). Representatives of Chicagos most influential brokerage houses met to put some sense of order into the burgeoning real estate and property management industry.

History The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® was founded as the National Association of Real Estate Exchanges on May 12, 1908 at the YMCA Auditorium in Chicago, Ill.

    Chamber of Commerce   The Chicagoland Chamber just released the fourth in a series of 2005 Legislative Updates that track legislation in the Illinois General Assembly. Both houses of the Illinois General Assembly reconvene on Tuesday, May 3 for what is expected to be a full agenda heading into the final month of the regularly-scheduled session. As of this writing, a May 31 adjournment date is uncertain. Click below to review the bills the Chamber is monitoring and get an update on the mass transit issue.
