James Ascot immigrated to the United States from Greece, in 1958, when he was 9 years old. He grew up in the City of Chicago and attended public schools there, graduating from Lane Technical High School. He earned Bachelor of Science and Masters (in guidance counseling) degrees from Bradley University, Peoria, IL and holds a Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Psychology from Columbia Pacific University, San Rafael, CA. He was on staff at Forest Hospital in Des Plaines as a therapist and served thereafter as its Director of Outpatient Placement Services. He later worked at Loretto Hospital in Chicago as a crisis intervention specialist in the emergency room. During this time he studied for two years at the Himalayan Institute of Yoga, Psychology and Philosophy in Glenview and taught Abnormal Psychology at Oakton Community College.
His career interests thereafter changed from crisis intervention to real estate. In 1986 he established Ascot Realty Group, Inc., based in downtown Chicago, IL. His firm manages properties and works primarily in commercial property development, sales and leasing, including office, retail, restaurant and industrial space and holds real estate broker licenses in Illinois and California. He is a past President of the Chicago Association of REALTORS® and has served on numerous committees of the Illinois and National Associations of REALTORS®.
He is a past President of AIRE (Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers). Mr. Ascot is a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member), CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist), a Past-President of FIABCI Chicago Chapter (The International Real Estate Federation). He was Chairman of the National Association of Realtors International Operations Committee (2003) and was NAR’s Presidential Liaison to the Hellenic Association of Realtors (Greece) from 2001-2004.
Mr. Ascot has been awarded the Illinois Association of Realtors Presidential Award for outstanding service and is a “Golden R” member of the Realtor Political Action Committee. He was named the Chicago Association of Realtors’ “Realtor of the Year” in 1999.
Mr. Ascot is actively involved in the community and provides charitable services to a number of organizations, including Rotary One of Chicago, is a past President of the Lane Tech High School Alumni Association, and is a former Chairman of its Local School Council. In addition, he has served as a Director on the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors (1998), as a member of the Chamber’s Cook County Property Tax Task Force (2001) and as co-chairman of the Council’s Education Workforce Quality Committee (2002). Mr. Ascot also served as Chairman of the Chicago Board of Education’s Promotional Task Force (1999), as a result of appointment by former Chicago Public Schools Superintendent Paul Vallas. He currently serves as President of the Jefferson Tower Condominium Association, 200 No. Jefferson St., Chicago, IL. He has been a director of the Chicago Composers’ Forum since 2006 and is a member of the River North Association.
Mr. Ascot was a candidate in the Democratic Party primary for the U.S. Congress from Illinois’ 7th Congressional District in 2006.

Prior to joining Ascot Realty, Jerry owned and operated “Café Figaro”, a restaurant that was rated one of five best upscale restaurants in Chicago during the 1980s. Also owned and operated a night club, “Jerry’s on Lincoln”. Began in real estate business in the early 1980s with rehab, management and sale of several multi-family buildings in Chicago’s Logan and Palmer Square neighborhoods. In 1986, Jerry joined Ascot Realty Group, Inc. as a real estate broker, represented clients in sales, acquisition and rentals of their real estate assets. Using the experience and intimate knowledge of the Chicago real estate market, he participated in the formation of partnerships with investors to facilitate acquisitions, development and Sale of strategically located properties in the City of Chicago.

Denis Ascot is a licensed Real Estate Broker (Illinois) and has been
practicing for the past seven years. Denis is also a Certified Negotiation
Expert (CNE), specializing in commercial real estate. Denis has a background
in property management and currently manages several properties in downtown
Chicago on the behalf of Ascot Realty Group, Inc.
Born and raised in Chicago Denis graduated from Lane Tech High School in
1999 and attended DePaul University before thrusting himself headlong into the
family business of real estate.
Denis is a motorcycle and music enthusiast who can still be seen playing
occasional nights in a local rock band that makes appearances throughout the
Chicago Land area.

Ellen Phillips is an Illinois licensed sales and leasing agent. In 2007, Ellen established Loop Apartments, an apartment locator service, after extensive experience in the field. Ellen’s background comprises the financial markets and entrepreneurship along with real estate.
Ellen has lived in Chicago for 9 years and is a native of Rochester, NY
Ellen graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and subsequently earned an MBA from Boston University in Boston, MA.
Ellen is an active tennis player and sports enthusiast. She is involved in various philanthropic organizations including AIPAC, JUF, Hadassah and animal rescue.

Jack C. Feldman, a corporate attorney with more than thirty years experience handling corporate transactions, business agreements, intellectual property licenses and commercial real estate matters, provides legal consulting services to Ascot Realty Group, Inc., serving as of-counsel to the company. Jack, who is a graduate of the School of Journalism and the School of Law at the University of Colorado, and who is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, began his legal career as a corporate staff attorney with Leo Burnett Company, Inc., the Chicago-based, international advertising agency.
More recently, Jack served for more than 13 years as principal corporate counsel to Bravo Restaurants, Inc. in Chicago and its principals, developers and operators of commercial real estate properties in metropolitan Chicago, IL, Kansas City, MO, Milwaukee and Madison, WI and elsewhere.
Jack, who has his own sole practitioner legal practice, has served as of-counsel to Ascot Realty Group, Inc. – forming new legal entities, negotiating and preparing agreements in connection with the purchase and sale of real property and the management of commercial properties owned by affiliates of the company – for nearly four years.

Christopher has a background in web development, information technology, real estate (residential leasing), and currently attends college here in Chicago concentrating in Geography & Urban Planning. Christopher joined Ascot Realty Group in 2008 and also served as the New Media Director for the Ascot For Congress 2010 Congressional campaign in Illinois’ 7th Congressional district.
In addition to his work at Ascot, he is a freelance web designer and photographer.
